Well, to be fair, if you watch a few seasons of the show, you might see that coming. As for the bathtub scene, if one is squeamish, it might be nice to know about that one in advance, because it was pretty awful.

OP here. Thanks for coming to my defense re the spoilers, PP, but I'm okay with them. If it's something especially disturbing, I prefer to be prepared!

I understand there's also a plotline with kids (his wife's kids?) - does that get weird at all? It's just...kids and serial killers. Not something you usually think of as a good match. Actually, weird I'm okay with, but freaky disturbing is something I want to steer clear of. So far everyone's descriptions have me intrigued, so thank you.

With regards to kids, I don't recall there ever being any outward violence towards kids/kids shown being killed. However, there are definitely kids involved in the violence (witnesses, and some victims that are alluded to but the killings not shown). The worst part regarding kids for me is that in some cases, you can kind of feel the pain of kids losing someone they love.

I don't know if that's helpful, but I'm trying not to be too specific. I'm not up to date, but Dexter gets along with his wife's kids, and they aren't aware of what he does.

As far as Dexter and the children in his life, he's quite responsible and outwardly caring with them.

Is anyone a bit worried about this season? Until the last episode I thought the show had jumped the shark (like Weeds). I hope that it was just slow to start...
