Just like when he pressured Raffensperger: "What I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes. Same playbook |

“BREAKING: DOJ opens a criminal investigation into Gavin Newsom. After Comey, Letitia James, Mark Kelly, and others, the pattern is clear: investigate critics, pardon loyalists. That’s not democracy. That’s autocracy.“

It does boggle my mind though that millions donated to the LA fire victims got siphoned off by un-related charities, including those associated with Newsom’s wife. None of it went to the actual victims. This is par for the course in California politics.
The great diaper initiative Newsom announced means the government will spend 5x the average price per diaper to give to families, using government money, paid to friends of his wife. It’s a kickback scheme, literally out in the open. If these are the things he’s willing to do in public, imagine what’s happening in private. |

Jennifer Siebel Newsom picked an argument with the press corps back in Feb. Journalists (the majority female) including those representing television outlets, The Associated Press, Politico, The New York Times, and Cal Matters were covering a press conference about a bill signing for Planned Parenthood.
As reporters commonly do they take the opportunity to ask additional questions. which ranged from Newsom's response to calls for Casey Wasserman to step down as the LA 28 Olympics head, a proposal to keep some High-Speed Rail records secret and recent litigation with the project, plus Newsom's upcoming trip to Munich. Newsom's wife didn't like it, so she pushed Newsom aside and stepped to the microphone to chide the press. "You wonder why we have such a horrific war on women in this country and that these guys are getting away with it, and you don't seem to care." The press corps was annoyed and called out the the entitlement of the First Partner and why anyone would be perplexed why journalists ask important questions. Editorials pointed out bill-signing events are a standard, universally recognized forum for the press corps to ask an government officials about ALL breaking news of the day, NOT a scripted PR segment. |
You're right. The fact that Trump is president means it's impossible for an openly corrupt Democrat to be corrupt. |
Don't ask questions. He's a Democrat, which means he's above suspicion. |
vs a Republican where you don't care and shrug and lick their boots? |
Are you excusing the Newsoms’ thievery from Californians? |
We're just saying that Trump and Newsom both have political careers nearing their ends and rightfully so. |
weaponization....pretty ironic huh |

There has been a huge issue in CA in regards to "behested payments" which are payments made by a donor to a charitable organization or government agency at the direct request, suggestion, or "behest" of an elected official. While they look like charitable donations, they are distinct because a politician acts as the intermediary to direct where the money goes.
This is largely unique to the CA. In almost all other states and at the federal level, an elected official explicitly asking corporations, special interest groups, or wealthy donors to funnel millions of dollars into specific non-profit entities—especially ones tied to the official's family members—is strictly prohibited, highly restricted, or considered a severe conflict of interest. Newsome has taken it to a whole other level. Here is how money in behested payments: Gavin Newsom (2019–Present): ~$300 Million Jerry Brown (2011–2019): ~$10 Million – $15 Million Arnold Schwarzenegger (2003–2011): ~$10 Million Gray Davis (1999–2003): ~$3 Million This is how it works: Newsom's wife Jennifer Siebel is co-founder of the California Partners Project, which advocates for “gender equity across the state. "Newsom solicited at least $1.9 million in charitable payments known as ‘behested payments’ in 2024 and 2025 for Siebel Newsom’s California Partners Project, which champions gender equity, including $1 million from the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, according to disclosure reports filed with the Fair Political Practices Commission." This is from Cal Matters which is a nonpartisan and nonprofit news organization that is very reliable. https://calmatters.org/politics/2026/06/gavin-newsom-trump-investigation/ And why did the Granton Rancheria tribe donate. Well, at the same time a rival Native American tribe was allowed by the Biden administration to open a 1 billion dollar competing casino just 15 miles away from Graton Rancheria's gambling compound. Shortly after the behested payments were secured, Governor Newsom and the State of California stepped in to file a lawsuit against the federal government, attempting to aggressively block and overturn the federal approval of the rival tribe’s casino project. There is a nonpolitical organization in CA called The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPCC). It was created in 1974 when California voters approved Proposition 9. In the wake of the Watergate scandal, Californians wanted to reign in the potential corruptive influence of special interests by creating an agency to enforce the most rigorous restrictions on fundraising and lobbying in the country. It is a five-member independent, non-partisan Commission's objectives are to ensure that public officials act in a fair and unbiased manner in the governmental decision-making process, to promote transparency in government, and to foster public trust in the political system. They are issuing another complaint against Newsom for violating the Political Reform Act (the “Act”) by failing to timely file certain behested payment reports in both 2024 and 2025. https://www.fppc.ca.gov/siteassets/documents/enforcement_div/stipulations/2026/june/gavin-newsom-fppc-no.-2025-01196---stipulation.pdf This report states, "Payments made at the behest of elected officials, including charitable donations, are a means by which donors may seek to gain favor with elected officials. When behested payments are made, the requirements of the Act ensure timely, transparent reporting of such activity, which increases public awareness regarding potential attempts to influence in this manner...Once the $5,000 aggregate threshold from a single source has been reached for a calendar year, all payments for the calendar year made by that source must be disclosed within 30 days after the date the threshold was reached or the payment was made. |
Newsom is corrup just like Trump. No surprise to us folks who pay attention. |
So what’s your point? Omg a winery, I’m aghast! Omg friends like family! Omg Grandpa Paul Getty trusted Grandpa William Newsom to rescue his kidnapped grandson! Omg Gavin’s father (also William) supported Getty’s son when they divorced! Omg the Newsoms divorced and the Getty family in turn supported Gavin! Omg Gordon Getty entrusted William Newsom II to manage his trust! Did any of them fantasize about having sex with their daughters? |
+1 Newsom is less slimy and less corrupt than Trump. He is a slimy jerk but not in Trump's ballpark because Trump shares his special scum space with no one. |
Dems have an arsenal of stellar candidates (including Newsom) for presidency, cabinet et al. |
