Newsom's wife didn't like it, so she pushed Newsom aside and stepped to the microphone to chide the press.

"You wonder why we have such a horrific war on women in this country and that these guys are getting away with it, and you don't seem to care."

The press corps was annoyed and called out the the entitlement of the First Partner and why anyone would be perplexed why journalists ask important questions.

Editorials pointed out bill-signing events are a standard, universally recognized forum for the press corps to ask an government officials  about ALL breaking news of the day, NOT a scripted PR segment.
