OP here: PP Thanks for the insight. I hadn't thought about the fact that she may not be able to read my expression. Interesting. I guess I should take into account that
my boss has mentioned her plans to never have children.

Another poster asked what age - I am 33, my boss is 33 and my co-worker is 28 or 29, can't remember exactly.
