DP yeah. OP is a female raising children who can't mention (checks notes) a gag-inducing fragrance to her spouse. Mansplain, womansplain, stupidsplain... we need all the splain'n |
| I'm a guy that has never worn cologne. I'm kind of thinking about maybe trying it. Like others are saying, just tell him. Obviously in a nice way. Tell him that when he first started wearing it, that you liked it, but now you are over it and would like to help him find another scent that you both like |
As a grown man who has never worn it but started thinking about it... we're not supposed to? |
| I absolutely despise perfumes and colognes. They give me headaches so easily. A girl sat next to me on a flight last week who had so much perfume on that the entire time it never faded. Please tell your husband to wear less! It really is a migraine trigger for so many people. |
Please don’t. |
No. Cologne is for middle school boys and they should grow out of it by 10th grade. Men shouldn’t wear perfume. |
Woman here. What in the world are you talking about? I assume you don't believe that women can't wear perfume, do you? There's literally no difference. |
You obviously aren't Persian, and possibly have never met any. Ask any actual Persian... guaranteed they'll know what you're talking about and have a good laugh. We're a humorous, self-aware people. Albeit frequently over-perfumed. Also ask them about the ear-kiss. |
Go ahead! Just wear way, way less than you think is right. No one who isn't actively embracing you should be able to smell it. It's your *personal scent*. Keep it personal, only let your most intimate people in on the secret. |
| Divorce. |
DP but agree with phthalates poster and the migraine inducing poster. No one should wear them. Perfume and cologne are as much a public offense as cigarettes. But the perfume companies, bath & body works, Glade plugin, and all these other companies have convinced people to spend hundreds of millions of dollars a year on useless products that make us sick. |
| My Cologne is soap. Fresh, clean soap. |
It’s okay for women to wear perfume, since it’s a feminine thing to do, like getting a pedicure or going to Pilates. Men shouldn’t do those things either. |
Oof the masculinity is getting TOXIC in here! But please, carry on. I love laughing at insecure men who have to define masculinity for others. |
But then they’re will be a an entire other thread about how men don’t care about grooming and let themselves go. Men just can’t win |
