We also paid for truck routes in DC. Probably freight rail as well.

Businesses should build their own roads!

Of course they just park in them. They wouldn’t leave the bike lane to go find car parking.

Its a lot better than when full size delivery trucks park in bike lanes.

+1. Better to block the bikes than both the bikes and the cars.

Or just block the cars only. You all were fine with trucks blocking the roads all over so I'm sure you'll be fine with these. Middle of the general lane is great.

Socialize the costs and privatize the gains!

Still better than the trucks, but I'm sure they'll make a mess of it somehow.

As someone who is routinely frustrated by UPS, Amazon, USPS and FedEx delivery trucks routinely blocking streets, bike lanes, crosswalks, and driveways, I very much like this idea. I’m not usually given to having many nice things to say about Kershbaum, but bravo to her for pushing this forward!

Some of them are parking in bike lanes, but I've also seen some that park just at the curb behind row of parked cars (in that 'no parking' buffer) – and I have to say I much prefer that that also used both of those options and blocked way more while putting pedestrians out of reasonable visibility.

What a weird take.
