Amazon equads in bike lanes

I hate them. I also hate the trucks.

That makes more sense than big trucks blocking the street.

How fast do they go? Why not use regular lanes?

But I agree that smaller is better so they don't block everything.

DC and other cities also let Amazon use taxpayer funded roads for their delivery trucks!

It's just one more crazy vehicle on the streets. Better than scooters or ebikes.

This is nothing new in Europe. Anything that gets people out of oversized vehicles inside cities is a win.

Sounds like we might need a new tax to claw back some of the lost fuel taxes!

As long as they do not park in them...are they any different then other ebike/scooter s?

Of course they just park in them. They wouldn’t leave the bike lane to go find car parking.

Share the road, remember?

Its a lot better than when full size delivery trucks park in bike lanes.

This seems fine as long as they don’t stop in the lanes and block them? They’ll go fast (15 mph), so I don’t think they’ll significantly block bike traffic if they’re moving.

15mph is pretty reasonable, but I have zero confidence that they won't park in the bike lanes. Zero.
