DC and other cities are giving taxpayer funded bike lanes to Amazon to use for delivery trucks!

| I hate them. I also hate the trucks. |
| That makes more sense than big trucks blocking the street. |
+1 |
How fast do they go? Why not use regular lanes? But I agree that smaller is better so they don't block everything. |
| DC and other cities also let Amazon use taxpayer funded roads for their delivery trucks! |
| It's just one more crazy vehicle on the streets. Better than scooters or ebikes. |
| This is nothing new in Europe. Anything that gets people out of oversized vehicles inside cities is a win. |
Sounds like we might need a new tax to claw back some of the lost fuel taxes! |
| As long as they do not park in them...are they any different then other ebike/scooter s? |
Of course they just park in them. They wouldn’t leave the bike lane to go find car parking. |
| Share the road, remember? |
Its a lot better than when full size delivery trucks park in bike lanes. |
| This seems fine as long as they don’t stop in the lanes and block them? They’ll go fast (15 mph), so I don’t think they’ll significantly block bike traffic if they’re moving. |
15mph is pretty reasonable, but I have zero confidence that they won't park in the bike lanes. Zero. |
