| 2M house. 750HHI. 2023 purchase. |
| $1.4M in 2020, HHI then was ~300K |
| $1.3M in 2016. HHI was $400K but grew gradually to fluctuate between $650K - $900K. Home might sell for $1.9M. |
| $840k purchase price, 2024. HHI $320k. |
| Paid $600k in 2012. HHI $250k |
|
$1.55M, HHI $280k or so, in 2024. We bought at 7 percent (ouch) and still own our old house. The rent from that subsides the new house. We are clearly on the lower end of income, but sold a lot of stock to be able to keep both houses. Capital gains was painful, it now we have a lot equity.
First home worth yet under $1M Second home worth $1.8M |
| Paid 550 in 2010. Worth 800-900 now. HHI was 250 with student loans and is closer to 400k now. Own TH rented and valued at 350k. Plan to upgrade in next few years maybe or might stick it out and pay private high school and take more expensive trips! |

HHI - $800,000
Bought house: $1.25 million in 2026 Put in $400,000 in renovations Put down 40% on a 6.7% interest rate |
| I’ll bring down the averages! Bought a close-in SFH in 2012 for $285K. HHI at the time was about $140K, and interest rate was 4%. We refi’d to 2.7% in 2020. Now our HHI is about $250K. |
| $675k in 2020; HHI about $225k then. |
| We paid 1m in 2023, put down 1m cash with assistance of family. HHI ranges from 250-300k. |
| 1.03M in 2022. 300k HHI back then, 400k now |
| Hhi $380k. Paid 1.4M but put down $600k (equity from sale). 4.75% rate. The mortgage is fine, but utilities and upkeep are the silent killer. Death by a thousand papercuts. |
| Bought 1.3M in 2020 with HHI 260k - it was a stretch for awhile - but not HHI is closer to 500k |
|
Bought 650k in 2020.2.5% interest, 25% down , put 100k for renovation to make it nice and livable ( it was so old built 30 years ago one owner, never renovated after that. We had to get new furnace, pain whole exterior, removed wall paper, pain interior, removed all carpets and put in hard flooring, landscaping etc. )
On Zillow it worth between 950k to 1.1 mil depending on the day. HHI 1 mil. |
