Friend won't stop talking about pregnancy

I hate to say this, but I think you either need to (a) tell her about your difficulty TTC and ask her to pull back on the pregnancy/"baby sister" talk, especially around your DC because you're stressed about whether DC will have a sibling; or (b) pull back from this friend for awhile.

Sure, I agree that she sounds a bit over-the-top. And it's likely that if I were in your shoes I'd consider avoiding her for awhile. But it's equally possible that she's just thrilled about her pregnancy and completely unaware that you're having trouble conceiving. Even given your age, I think many people just assume you're just waiting to go for #2. Unless someone has personal experience with secondary fertility or has talked through it with a friend who has, I think most people are unaware. They assume if you have one child you can have another when you decide to.
