I know a lot of people who have become civically engaged because of her, after doing simple things like neighborhood clean ups.

As a native Washingtonian who lives in Brightwood, I’ve never heard of her.

Transplant in Shepherd Park and I’ve never heard of her.

Seems like she's going to have to cover some grounds if she wants support. If Candance does lose her At-large race, I may lean towards supporting her. I'm bias and hope she does as she appears to have a great professional background and would be great for Ward 4 but then again, I don't want JLG as mayor. Sigh

Well I’m a native Washingtonian who lives in Takoma and I think Erin would be great! I also thought Janeese was a million times better than Brandon.

Lisa Gore has major ethics issues. Doubt she'd run as the Board of Ethics--BEGA has already advised her to recuse from meetings and she has refused to, instead saying its up to her to decide if she recuses and she will instead attend "as a member of the public" and continue to influence proceedings she isn't even supposed to be in the room for.....this has been going on ever since she got ousted as ANC head and started her own lobbying organization (which is a 501c4). . Regardless of your opinion on this , her judgement is WAY off. Hope she does something else with her retirement..

I didn’t too but didn’t vote for her the second time or for this election. Hopefully Candance Nelson runs.

Who are the candidates going to be?

Does Janeese get to appoint her temporary successor when she is sworn in as mayor?

I'm not in DC anymore. It used to be that Muriel's "Green Team" had a lock on Ward 4. Is that not true anymore?

Only a ward 4, west of park NIMBY opposed to the affordable housing proposal at Chevy Chase could write this.

If you actually follow this issue, it is total bunk and hypocrisy given the ethics issues other ANC members have as it relates to the Civic Core, Chevy Chase Circle and the Maret field. In those cases, there is actual financial stake. In Lisa Gore's case, she co-started a non-profit to help support affordable housing. There is zero money at stake or to benefit her personally as far as I can tell.

So let's stop with the false allegations, it is really unbecoming.

Politically, maybe. They're just working for the big business overtly now. Isn't Tood working for Washington Gas as a lobbyist?
