Lessons vs “real team” activities at age 10

Yes, it’s totally fine. For what it’s worth, my kid was similar at that age. Then in 7th grade he got really into lacrosse and football. Kids change all the time.

I think it’s fine. Not every kid is a traditional team sport kind of kid. My sweet spot was always sports where there was a team but we performed as individuals and pooled our results for team awards.

What kind of sport does this? Maybe swim team?

Gymnastics and cross country. Both individual and team placements when I did them. High score team for gymnastics and lowest score based on runner finishing placement for cross country.
