Where do you live if you work in Tysons Corners ?

Downtown Bethesda, Express Bus to Tysons. Easy peasy and an hour to myself each way. Much better than driving or metro.

Falls Church City and the traffic sucks even for that short of a distance.

McLean. McLean and Vienna are the best places to live if you work in Tysons, and two of the best places to live in the DC area even if you don’t.

Bethesda, 15 minutes in (leave before 7am), trip home is anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes

Doesn't really matter where you live bc getting in/out of Tysons during rush hour is difficult. I lived in Arlington and commuted daily and it take 15 mins or 1 hour+. If there is an accident or bad weather, it can take even longer. That said, I would recommend Falls Church, North Arlington, or McLean.

You do you. I agree it is painful. I would move before I commuted across a bridge twice a day.

Oh, and Maryland is unlikely either to widen 495 between the bridge and 270 split (270 already was widened) or to widen / replace the 495 bridge. Maryland owns the bridge. Virginia already has done all that it could.

Ballston but I just have 1 kid and refuse to drive. My coworkers all seem to live close to the office in Vienna-ish, but some commute long distance from MoCo too. A few from DC proper on metro. Actually not as bad as you might think to metro in as long as you don’t have to be in the office 5 days a week. I did the Silver Line to Tyson’s for a while and the train is packed so I wasn’t the only one.
