I don't know. All five Arlington high schools (including TJ) have impressive stats. They all seem to be going to expensive schools. Private and out of state public schools.

Although a very large number of students, as is typical, are going to VPI and UVA. Followed by W&M, JMU, VCU, and other state schools.

So many OOS and private schools that are mid ranked. Are they all getting big merit aid or just people have tons of money?

HBW really stands out, about 20% of class goes to t30 schools, and only HYP admit out of APS I think.

I'm an HB parent, and I'm pretty blown away by these results. This is better than usual. The senior class was unusually strong this year.

TJ is even more impressive! I can't tell which kids are from Arlington and wouldn't ID them even if I did know. But still interesting to add t to the mix knowing some of these kids are Arlingtonians too.

I'm a former (2X) HB parent and no it isn't.

Because my kid is a senior so I'm following the insta feed and also my kid (sometimes) tells me where their friends are going.

Meaning you're guessing.

I've seen the insta feeds. They're no different than they've ever been.

Impressive stats for AT and number of students are pursuing non STEM majors as well. Stanford, UVA, VPI, W&M, et al.

All around, Arlington students in its six high schools are going to fantastic schools. And let's not forget Langston has sent graduates to UVA and other fine schools as well over the years.

And as usual, the W-L IB kids are seeing great outcomes for both private and public institutions

So basically you’re just guessing too.

Even the non-IB W-L kids are getting into impressive Ivy League, publics, etc. Excellent around for W-L this year.

No, I'm stating a fact.

To get the best read on where W-L students decided to go, you'd need to get your hands on the year-end senior newspaper. It's only distributed in hard copy to seniors. My kids didn't put their destinations on instagram but did report for the paper.

Or, wait for the Arlington Magazine report on apps/admits by HS. Also, partial data based on what students reported in the school system.

You’re basing your “fact” on the same info that the PP has.

So if they are guessing then you must be too.

No, I'm comparing what's been reported there now to what's been reported there before and there's no difference.
