| Surprised Kentkands has teardowns |
The community is over 40 years old now. Teardowns will likely increase as time goes on. |

What is so upsetting about an expensive home in Kentlands, Gaithersburg?
Are people thinking homes at this price belong only in their neighborhoods? |
Investment wise, You don’t build a 4million house in a 1M dollars neighborhood. Unless the neighborhood is moving in that direction. |
| Insane. |
The asking price is objectively outrageous |
| I like the pantry. The rest… |
To do a tear down and completely rebuild the rest of the house. I do believe that to have been a large amount of. Someone is going to get value for money |
Dont they have strict rules? |
Kentlands is famous for its architectural and "new urbanist" design, published in countless books and magazines, but the newer HOA board membership has likely relaxed the rules. The picket fences and other distinctive characteristics of Kentlands as designed are being removed by home owners and house floppers. |
Never heard of tear downs in Kentlands except this house and it is probably expansion. |
lol. |
+1 Yes, it is orders of magnitude more expensive than any house that has sold in Kentlands or anywhere nearby in recent memory. |
|
I don’t know if there’s a market for it at that price but I can believe they spent close to that all in.
Honestly, who cares? It’s not a spec house and they’ll get what they get when it shakes out. There’s no need to be offended or insulting. |

Is it “Kentlands” or “the Kentlands”?
Like I’d feel fancier saying I live “in the Kentlands” as opposed to “in Kentlands”. Like “the Hamptons”. Not just “Hamptons”. |
