No one (World Bank) gets Education benefits in DC. |
World Bank colleagues do not get subsidies for rent. Nor educational benefits. That was in the old system. Depending on their national laws, they might have to pay taxes back home, I am not sure about that. I am a US citizen, so I pay taxes. |
But US citizens get money to offset the taxes they pay. (world Bank) Internationally Recruited staff (non US citizens) do get a mobility premium in DC, but its not a whole lot. |
| Whining about your benefits at the WB is a whole level of entitlement |

This thread has a lot of partially wrong information. Not sure about the motivation for starting it?
- a U.S. citizen at one of these orgs. |
| Agree. The Americans at these institutions are well aware of the benefits they do and do not receive. Don’t need a dcum thread for that. |
| There are threads on all kinds of things. This is a discriminatory practice. |
| Op is a jealous troll. Probably MAGA! |
Agree, lots of bad info here. |
And their salary is adjusted to reflect that. |

Multi-lateral institutions benefit the US as a buttress to Imperial China and the Russian Empire attacking freedom and democracy.
I work in the US commercial sector having nothing to do with anybof these. |
Hey morons, if you knew anything about MDBs you would know that they are not funded by the U.S. or any other government. They borrow in bond markets, make a return on their loans and have extremely healthy AAA non-goverment revenues. They actually have a super high return on equity to their original country shareholders. They do not take appropriations money. So ifyou don't know what you are saying, shut up. They are not a "scam to US taxpayers. MAGA idiots. |
