I have never seen a school form where it would make sense to list a parent as an emergency contact. Emergency contacts are who you call when the people listed as parents don’t respond. I think gender is part of the issue here. If there is a mom listed on the form, even if you write “call dad first” people will call mom. |

I was always required to list my child other parent, and to make sure they received things like report cards. Yes I had sole legal.

OP here: I asked about listing the NCP parent as a parent and said that in an emergency, if they couldn’t reach Dad (custodial parent) it would be better to call the people that would be listed as emergency contact than the mom. |
