I'm apolitical and definitely wouldn't date a MAGA maggot. I also find that people who are into politics are generally insufferable and not well mentally. So even if you state that you're a liberal, I might take a pass if you say things like "human rights" or "women's rights" in your profile.

I think putting your politics (especially in today's climate) is important. I don't put a lot about mine, but I do list I'm liberal. If I see a guy that says Conservative, Not-Political, or Apolitical, I swipe left and move on. I know for me personally, that is a human I cannot date at this time. And I generally find when people DON'T put their politics, they are conservative, so I tend to swipe left there too. To me - this is the same thing are disclosing if you have kids or not in a dating app. These things matter.

I'm male, moderate to progressive, and have a good job. In the five years since my divorce, about 95 percent of the women who expressed interest in me were NOT conservative. Every once in a while, an educated professional conservative woman has swiped right on me. Only two agreed to meet me. One was mostly apolitical but very anti crime. The other was more of an opposites attract situation, except the attraction wasn't really physical. I don't say anything about politics in my profile.
