7th Grade Lottery Results

There’s always the possibility for surprises, outlier years etc but in most cases you can gauge where you have a decent chance or not. There are very clear patterns in most schools and grades.

I’m trying my hardest to fully understand it. 😆

BTW we are coming from BASIS so if need be we can stay there but the reason why we are looking is because my daughter is newly into theatre, acting and creative writing. My son left BASIS and is LOVING MacArthur.

Stuart Hobson #6
Hardy #16
DCI (Spanish Language Program) #19
Oyster-Adams Bilingual School (Adams) #9
Deal Middle School #19
John Francis Education Campus #26
Eliot-Hines Middle School #29
Jefferson Middle School #14

My son is also loving MacArthur - it is a really great place to go everyday.

I keep hearing every year that Stuart is not selecting anybody from the waiting list.

Entry year (6th grade) is a very different situation from 7th grade. Ideally, schools take no one into 7th grade. The reason they do is only because people move away, go private etc. Your best bet, of course, is your school of right, your in-bounds middle school. Show up, register, as simple as that.

except the dcps schools do usually take some 7th graders off the waitlist. check out the results on myschool but understand every year is different.

Chiming in to say we’re also really happy at MacArthur. Daughter is blossoming in AP classes there.
