Metformin helped me lose the first ten pounds. Then weightloss stalled (I do work out, track, etc). It didn't hurt.
Then I went to GLP compound |
Going on metformin with 5.6 (I assume) A1C seems odd, since it is designed to lower your glucose/A1C levels. Is there no concern about LOW blood sugar if you start metformin? Have you tried anything else to lose weight - diet and exercise/lifestyle changes? - or is this the first step? How much weight do you need to lose? |
You did not gain back any of the weight you lost? |
how about the person tries the medicine as suggested and see how it goes. why go straight to lying? |

I have a very good A1C levels (like 5.2, sometimes lower), but have insulin resistance with fasting glucose levels in the high 90s. I had gained 10 pounds, and with metformin I lost it with no effort.
I take 1g at the beginning of dinner and have no side effects. I asked my endocrinologist and she said there’s no concern of too low glucose levels on metformin. |
