Weekend Guest Question

Being treated for dinner is my favorite. Please discuss it early in your visit and pick a day and follow through.

For years I had a relative always say they wanted to treat us to a meal but they never actually did because they'd say it on the last day when we had other plans or the kids needed to be in bed early or it had to be breakfast at 7am before their flight etc etc.

It became a running inside joke between my husband and me to bet on which incredibly inconvenient time the guest would suggest. Then once, after maybe eight years of annual visits, he actually took us out!
