Seems too tasteful for most pro athletes? |
This. And the likely buyer is an embassy. A different similarly large house a mile or two away was sold to a middle eastern embassy a few years back. |
| Who lived their previously? |
| Wow so beautiful. |
That’s an insane comment |
| Too much carpet. |
| It’s a beautiful home. I see there’s a UK flag in one of the pics. Maybe it’s an embassy property. |
|
The UK flag has flown there for years.
|
Agree, it's lovely. So much nicer than what I expected to see at that price. |
| To answer OP's question...wealthy members of the current administration, wealthy tech bros looking to have a DC-area pad to lobby the administration (I think Andressen owns one of the crazy houses right on the Potomac in Mclean), CEO of one of the DC-area F500 companies (DC ranks I think 5th in the country for F500 HQs), etc. |
| I get why pricy properties don’t have open houses because I would love to be a looky loo! |
| Isn't one of the biggest buyers of mansions in McLean the Saudi government/royal family? |
|
It is a beautiful property, but overpriced.
At that price point I want river views. There must be something more special about it than just a house. I do like the grounds and the vegetable patch. Perhaps a sauna would be nice. The owners purchased it for $13 mil. I do not think it has tripled in value. This will take a long time to sell |
| This will take a while to sell, in a similar way that the Potomac house of Dan Snyder was hard to sell. |
| Regarding forner owner, perhaps the Mars family. The business was, and probably still is, headquartered there. |
