Shoulder Mobility- Physical Therapist Needed

I would strongly recommend being seen by an ortho first, since it sounds like you just self-diagnosed.

OP here. I’m not crazy about needles. How bad was that shot? Lol.
I appreciate your strong recommendation, and I wouldn’t self-diagnose for something that felt really serious internally in my body, and getting some answers from a doctor earlier on would’ve been good but I’m comfortable with my progress now. Since my initial posting, I have found some terrific PT videos on YouTube and I would say I’m 80% recovered and still improving. What I have learned is that to some degree these frozen shoulders have to run their course through a few different stages, and I’m happy that I’m in the third and final stage where the stretching has made a world of difference. I’m even back to some strengthening exercises now.

PP who got the shot - I don't remember it, but I'm usually OK with shots. Worst shots for me are probably flu vaccines, so this was definitely better than those.

The reason why I recommended seeing the PT is that sometimes similar symptoms can be due to different causes, which require very different care. Eg sometimes you need to stretch, sometimes to take a break and take anti-inflammatories, sometimes PT etc. I don't know, but I find that the ortho has always been on point (for my stuff as well as my kid's sports injuries.) I will say that I had the feeling that this ortho was recommending PT to everyone with frozen shoulder as a first step, though from reading online, it seemed like it doesn't usually help. Maybe it's an insurance thing + it obviously depends on what stage of frozen shoulder you're in. Anyway, I'm glad you're doing much better!
