I'm a 40 yo woman. I tried PT for frozen shoulder for 4 weeks. Didn't really do much, so ortho recommended steroid shot. So far so good, though mobility is not as good as it was years ago. I would strongly recommend being seen by an ortho first, since it sounds like you just self-diagnosed.
OP here. I’m not crazy about needles. How bad was that shot? Lol. I appreciate your strong recommendation, and I wouldn’t self-diagnose for something that felt really serious internally in my body, and getting some answers from a doctor earlier on would’ve been good but I’m comfortable with my progress now. Since my initial posting, I have found some terrific PT videos on YouTube and I would say I’m 80% recovered and still improving. What I have learned is that to some degree these frozen shoulders have to run their course through a few different stages, and I’m happy that I’m in the third and final stage where the stretching has made a world of difference. I’m even back to some strengthening exercises now.
