What does your house look like when the cleaners leave?

They probably move stuff because they mop and vacuum last and allow the floor to dry? Not a big deal to reset the house!

Just the vacuum and mopping, the bathrooms and kitchen - is absolutely worth it for me. I see my cleaner doing the work that my DH and my kids don't do. So, yes, I do have to work alongside her to get my house the way I want and for my own peace of mind.

Also, my cleaner will deep clean my 2 fridge and 2 freezers or clean my garage or organize my pantry with me, if I tell her not to do the bedrooms and the formal dining room and dining room.

She will sort out my patio and porch - if I tell her to skip the basement. So, my dirtiest and most mental block areas get sorted out by her at each cleaning - but then I am setting things right and also letting her skip a lot of areas.

If I have specific projects, she comes on non-cleaning days and works for $35/hour for 4-6 hours.

But, I actually have a gem of a person who cleans for me. So, I take care of her. Lunch and team and I give my own cleaning supplies to her.

She is a mom and has her own household to take care of. Her workday does not end when she reaches home. So, I make my home a place that she likes to come and work and where she is respected and valued.

It looks like heaven and like a huge burden has lifted off me. I feel like I can breathe and I am happy and blissful. It feels as if my life is in order and I am on top of things. And I savor my good cup of tea after she leaves in peace and tranquility.

My cleaner makes the most difference to the quality of my life, to the happiness in my marriage, and in boosting my mom superpowers - as a non-family person.

Lately she started folding the end of the toilet paper and even the tissues in the tissue boxes in a fancy way. And refolds my towels.

I want to say please don't waste time on this and pay more attention to the dust on the baseboards and radiators but I don't want to be insulting.

I think they SHOULD put any ➕ all furniture they move back to its original place before they leave.

An exception would be if they wet mopped the floor & the floor has not adequately dried yet.

Most cleaners do not dust…..

Those that do will only dust minimally.

They tend to focus more on floors, fixtures and appliances.

This is a great perspective to hone!

It’s a small price to pay for the luxury of not having to scour an entire bathroom!!

My cleaners will do a quick, minor dusting but I still need to do a complete dusting every 2-3 weeks.

I think some cleaners do not prioritize dusting because it is very time consuming.
Floors can be done quicker.

That's the best the house looks.

Sometimes a door mat doesn't get put back after they mop (last thing they do) but otherwise only minor things need to be moved, like the knife block may be out of reach from the kitchen sink.

My husband always complains that he can't find things after they come but that's because he leaves things in random places like shoes in the dining room and they put them away.
