Unnatural brows

Anonymous
My once-beautiful and full natural eyebrows thinned dramatically once I started having thyroid issues in my mid-30s. I used to only ever thread them, so it wasn’t due to over plucking. They never grew back even though my hormone levels are now regulated. I have to use pencil.

Well so whats the latest? I'm not doing much but trimming at this point and making sure they don't connect lol that's about it.

What is 2026 brows supposed to look like?

I’d like to see an example of what you see as harsh. I have very sparse brows so I try to pencil them in a little but making them look unnatural is my nightmare. It’s hard to know how they look to others.

Think brows like Susan Dell.

I just looked at a picture and now I wish I hadn’t. How does a billionaire end up with such cartoonish plastic surgery?

Gosh! Maybe she is too busy in helping children around the world? They have donated billions to education, health, and urban poverty causes, and pledged $6.25 billion to support child savings accounts in 2025!

That’s not it. Because she found the time to have someone make her look that way. This is not the aging naturally no work done face. It’s just bad, despite her good deeds.

What are we supposed to be doing with them? Letting them get big and bushy?

I have sparse, pale eyebrows so I pencil them in. You have to get the shape and color right. That Susan Dell lady is just going a little too dark, and a sort of droopy shape that doesn't lift her eyes at all. She needs more of a graceful shape with an arch. Equally bad are the stupid laminated caterpillar eyebrows.

The shape of her brows seems fine to me. I think you are reacting to the color contrast with her hair, and her dark eye makeup with light eyes. If she was a brunette, or if she didn't do heavy lower liner, the brows would be unremarkable.

(As somebody with similar coloring, it's hard to find a good taupe brow pencil.)

No, no. EEK!!

Thicker, more full brows are clearly the current trend. I’m fine with that, but I cringe whenever I see a blonde with eyebrows that are way too dark. Are you trying to look like you got a bad dye job?!??

Are you plucking them at all or just the unibrow in the middle if you have one?

Threading is the same as plucking. Removing hairs at the root. That's what causes the root to stop producing a hair over time.
