Poor people's thread: What can't you afford but want to own?

I’ll even take business class for long haul flights. Anything to get out of economy.

So I'll probably need a private jet too to get to where I want to go.

Me too. Did you read the Blue Castle too?
This is literally all I want.

I'm middle class and very content. The things I want you either can't buy with money or at least I don't know how to buy with money. I want:

- No more seasonal depression.
- Never have anxiety or depressive episodes again.
- My dad to accept that he needs to go to a nursing home.
- I'm single, so perhaps a wife.
- Peace in the middle-east.
- I would love to be a "natural" at playing the piano.
- Switch to part-time work and downshift to retirement. I can somewhat do this now with the money I have saved.
- A single-level home or condo with soundproofing.
- More desire and time to increase exercise from 2-3 times per week to 5 times per week.
- No more colds, flus, COVID.
- To become a natural conversationalist.
- A desire to read the Bible more frequently.
- A few more friends.
- Lifetime Federal health insurance. I'm 10 years shy of Federal Employee retirement age of 57, so I can eventually get there.

30K to pay off my moms home mortgage
A car since our only one is on its last legs
A car for my mom who is driving a 2004 Mitsubishi
To get my nails done and a fancy haircut
A personal chef or prep person because I have kiddos who love food but I work full time

I have most of what I need though am not rich. If this is my fairy godmother, I’d love an inground pool and maybe a tennis court. And that could be at my weekend house, which I would need also. Thank you!

A house with a bedroom for each of my 2 kids and a study room.

My own house. I’ve never owned one. Not even a house because I couldn’t afford the upkeep. Just a condo would be great.

Private schools so I wouldn’t have to send my kids to their bad title 1.

I’d like to be a sahm, but we need my income.

Wow, where to start?

To be able to go to grocery store and fill the cart. To not have to “get creative” so kids can eat.
To be able to justify going out to nice place just to have a glass of wine
A newer car (electric, not USA made)
House repairs
New air conditioner
A vacation
New clothing staples (mine threadbare)
New furniture (again, rips or threadbare)
And the list goes on and on and on.

A house manager who would deal with finding/hiring a bunch of stuff that could be outsourced (cleaning, yard work, etc) and all the house maintenance and small renovations I never get around to due to expense and/or inertia.

A decent, basic car that I don’t have to constantly worry about breaking down.

Will your wife know where you’ll be? 😉
