WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? You go on and on about Hughes and Herndon and their feeder schools (I am confident you are the person who is so deeply offended that kids from Coates and McNair go to Carson and will go to Skyview). Just stop it. You are racist and classist and it's really sick.

The OP asked for opinions on the camp. If you can’t handle a differing opinion, leave. I personally wouldn’t choose a camp of kids from Hughes and Herndon went there.

I am not the same poster talking about Coates and McNair and Skyview, but I agree, those are problem schools as well and that’s why some folks don’t want to go to Skyview.

My daughter went last summer and had a great time! No trouble from any kids from any of the middle schools people have mentioned.

They are giving away who they expect to benefit by putting a camp for Carson, Cooper, Herndon, Hughes, and Longfellow kids at Carson. Pretty obvious they aren't trying to make it convenient for Cooper or Longfellow kids. Hughes would be more centrally located.

Give it a rest. The kids who sign up for this camp are not the ones you seem to think will attend - when my DD attended, it was all her friends and they had no complaints (they go to Carson).

And I can tell you right now the super wild kids with iffy home lives and uninvolved parents are absolutely NOT at county-run summer camps. Even if they probably should be.

I don’t think it’s a conspiracy, but it’s odd to assign Longfellow to Carson instead of Glasgow. Those schools are not close.
