There is no finish line. Cover your own care. Start by moving to Alaska and get into shape.

NY, NJ, MA, CT, RI, IL, MD, CA, OR, WA, CO… any blue state is a great option for retirement.

Taxes might be a little higher than in nazi states, but you get what you pay for.

Lots of Americans do retire to Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica. But I’m sure they aren’t as affordable now as they were 10 years ago. Other countries that meet this standard are halfway around the world and/or have iffy political situations.

Do you really spend your life thinking like this? What a sad way to pass your brief time on this earth.

Yes, we spend time thinking about who we want to spend our "brief time on this earth" around, and it isn't Republicans.

There are tax friendly states for retirees. Florida, NC, Arizona. All have good healthcare.

Find a state that supports right to die with dignity.

I prefer to spend my time thinking about how we can make republicans’ brief time on this earth much, MUCH more brief. All of them.

Comments like these are so odd. It's as if some of you live in a completely binary world in which you see CT as all Democrat, CA as all Democrat...There are GOP and Democrats everywhere in all states, all across the political spectrum within the two parties, and plenty outside of these as well.

AZ has no water and it’s only getting worse. Hard pass.

Why would a state drain healthcare savings (?)

I am an UMC 60 year old and we're planning to stay right here in the DMV.

You are not a good advertisement for these states. Rigid and closed-minded. And I vote democrat.

And this is why Republicans are so strongly supportive of the 2nd Amendment. We know the depravity and Nazi-like behavior of Democrats.

Maybe, but when I go to Missouri, I know I don't want to live there.

Such a blanket statement. You are part of the problem.
