All the online ones are just middle men for the brand names. It’s about sales, marketing and channels. MIDI health, willow health, Hers, RO, skim Rx, futurehealth.

If I knew an actual compounding factory or lab I’d just buy it from them for $25 a month.

I know I am hijacking this thread, but I have a question for the posters that are micro dosing using Lily Direct. Could you please help me understand what micro dosing means?

In my particular case, I am almost down to my goal weight after losing 22 pounds. I did it on 2.5 mg and then 5 mg of Zepbound. After using 2.5 mg for 3 months I started to feel the hunger and food noise start to creep in so the provider moved me to 5 mg. I really would like to not be on 5 mg anymore as I get a lot of gastric discomfort on that dosage. What could be some of my options to lower the dose/Microdose for a little weight loss and mostly maintenance. Does it mean extending dose to more days or taking smaller dose more often?

I just want to be a little more informed before bringing this up in a call with the provider.
Thank you.

My understanding from my physician and from my MIDI provider is that a microdose, by definition, is anything lower than the starting dose (2.5mg).

So I am microdosing Tirzepetide by giving myself weekly injections of 1.25mg.

Who do you get your medication from? The smallest dose from Lilly is 2.5. Do you just take half and dispose of half?

I am not microdosing; however instead of doubling my dose, I went from 2.5 to 3mg (because the 2.5 vial really has 60cc in it which is a 3mg dose) and then when 3mg wore off, I moved up to the 5mg vial but am only taking 40cc, which is a 4mg dose and am discarding the excess. If this wears off, I'll increase to 5mg. So it's like micro-increases to the dose.

Thank you for the responses clarifying what microdosing is. Makes sense.

And thank you to the pp sharing how you are micro-increasing. I will give that a try as increasing straight from 2.5 to 5mg Zepbound has been rough on my gastric system.

Is it bloating or edema? Are you sure you don't have a medical problem? I'd look into that.

Another question on micro dosing. Does Zepbound come in a format other than the own? I question how you would microdose with drug delivery system for the branded Zepbound I have seen.

Zepbound has injector pens and vials you use a needle to extract.

I agree with your doctor. I do not trust internet-focused compounding pharmacies. No one is regulating what they are putting in your meds. I pay for Lilly Direct.

That said, I am using this medication for a legitimate purpose. I have lost 50lbs with 20 to go, have completely transformed my diet, and am exercising for 30+ minutes every day which is absolutely contributing to my weight loss.

But you do you, OP.
