I just started Sociopath: A Memoir and it’s too soon to form an opinion. My next read will be The Correspondent.

My last great read was The Wedding People.

I'm reading Theo of Golden and have the same reaction. It's like a Hallmark/Roma Downey movie. I'm not sure I'm going to finish it

This book is so good, I can barely put it down. I'm not even finished and I can tell you it's a 10/10. Incredible voice. And can we please have more books about women and their friendships?

I just finished this! Loved it and can totally see it as a movie. Beautiful writing.

The writing is darned near perfect.

I'm reading Lady Tremaine. It's a new release that's a retelling of Cinderella from the stepmom's point of view. I've seen so many rave reviews, but I'm about halfway through and I don't know why people love it so much. It's fine. Kind of boring. I'll finish it because it's for book club but I switched to audio because print was not holding my attention.

Swann's Way, by Proust. The translation is amazing. The madeleine scene lived up to expectations. Picked it up feeling a gap in my classics reading, but I'm loving it.

I read all 7 books of Time Regained the year I told 40 and I think it's my most memorable reading experience. Yes, I got bored sometimes and lost sometimes, but overall it was fantastic. I loved tracing the symbols and themes and the ending really is impactful.

You sound like me. I did not love Theo of Golden, and I feel like a monster when I tell people that.

I'm reading The Wedding People now and I like it, and I also liked Sociopath.

Just finished Her Last Breath by Taylor Adams. About two friends who go caving together for the day and it ends up going very badly. Lots of twists and turns. It is not literary fiction but a very well written thriller. The description of being stuck underground in tight quarters was physically difficult to read at times but quite well done
