What kind of salutation do you like?

I know this is irrational but I'm annoyed by any email or business correspondence salutation other than Thank you or Thanks.

Not like super annoyed just a quick passing thought annoyed and then I move on.

If it's informal and someone I correspond with regularly, I usually sign off with "Take care," but if it's any other situation, it's "Sincerely."

...unless it's my work buddy across the hall, in which case I sign off with "Your mom."

I don't get the "I no longer work"

if you no longer work, are you asking how to sign emails to friends and family?

My creepy boss used that with everyone. I think he didn't know any other ones.

You should look up '''parts of a letter" because the salutation is the greeting, e.g., Dear Mr. or Hi ya, toots" the closing or complimentary closing is when you use "Sincerely, All best, or So long, babe."

"I remain your humble servant,"

Thank you! I was scratching my head there for a while. My personal preference would be no closing, especially for multiple back and forth emails. I wish there was an English equivalent to "aloha", which is kind of all-purpose closing or salutation.
