| I no longer work, and am struggling with the best salutation for emails, etc. Do you like "Best" or "Warmly" or "Regards" or "Sincerely" other ideas? |
Depends -- who are you writing to? I mean, to whom are you writing?
|
| True-- when a school related email perhaps "regards" or something more business like is best. |
| If it's a work e-mail, I usually sign off with "thank you." |
| I frequently use "Best" but have a few friends that use "Cheers" which I think is cute. I also use "Thank you" a lot if it is more formal. |
| I vary. Cheers or Best for informal, Sincerely for slightly more formal. I feel like sincerely is kind of a lost phrase. I like it and use it a lot. |
| 99% of the time it's "Thanks". |
|
My two favorites are
Thanks, MY NAME Best, MY NAME |

I agree with "sincerely" because it is respectful, professional without being stuffy. "All best" for informal and "cheers" for a friend. |
| "Hey, Beautiful." |
|
A salutation is a greeting. I think you are asking about a closing. At any rate, I like
Sincerely Best Until soon |
I feel the same way. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), no one at work addresses me by email this way.
|
? Is this proper English? |
|
Best not be proper English eider
It should be My best.......... I can't stand when people put best |
