You parent the kid you have, not the one you want. Most parents would be aghast that I was aware of the marijuana and that she smoked several times per day in her room... better that than driving high or riding with someone high.

No words of advice, just empathy. That sounds so hard. My teenagers will sometimes choose where to go based on which dinner sounds better (we’re really flexible about them going back and forth). I can’t imagine if I felt like my kids were choosing to go to ex’s because he was letting them self-destruct. Hugs
