Careful with those, brain eating amoeba is a risk. Saline sterile sprays are safer.

You have to use distilled water and they are fine.

You don't have to. You can boil the water. Does no one read the instructions anymore?

Either is fine but you need to sterilize the pot.

Do you have mold?

I've had this 2ce after covid each time. My dr said it's a sinus infection and a common post Covid complication especially for women that he's seen. Antibiotics cleared it up in 2 days. I was really unhappy and coughed from all the post nasal drip for a few weeks before that.

go see a doc?

I had something like this. It lasted eight weeks before I got better.

Honestly, I think this is just how long whatever is going around is lasting. I have two high schoolers, and it has gone through their friend group in this exact progression. For each of my boys, it lasted 4 weeks. Now they’re over the obvious symptoms but still need to build up stamina and appetite. It’s been brutal. They both tested negative for everything, but a few of their friends w/ the same symptoms did test positive for Covid.

Clear Snot/mucus color doesn’t mean it’s not an infection, that’s a myth. See a doctor, you may need antibiotics.

Steam bath for your face - boil water, put it in a bowl, breathe in the steam from the bowl with a towel over your head to trap the steam in

I had something similar for weeks although mucus was green and I had a bad cough and wheezing. Finally went to urgent care- they did a chest xray (clear) and gave me steroids and prescription cough meds which cleared it up in a week. I thought I needed antibiotics but this did the trick. Good luck OP, I felt like I was never going to be able to put down the tissue box!

Go to the Dr. as others have suggested but also get a small nebulizer off amazon and buy .9% saline solution to use with it. Do this 2-3 times a day. When the really nasty viruses hit our house hard, this always helps.

My guess is allergies. This is prime time for tree pollen and so often people assume it's a cold when it's not. I would try a different allergy pill like zrytec or allegra. Claritin does not work as well. I'd do that in combination with flonase for a week and see if you have improvement.

You could also add in sudafed (behind the pharmacy, not the one on the shelves) to just try to dry it all up.

And then the other advice is to REST, drink lots of fluids. Sometimes our bodies pick up a nasty virus that takes a lot longer to clear than we'd like.

Please tell me this isn’t something that’s going to start going around because I hate hate hate nasal drip

Right there with you! I have NO idea what is up with me but I have been sick on and off since January. 2 respiratory things.

The second stared mid February and I still am not 100% (on and off sinus pressure, slight increase in body temperature). That second bout came with the worst dry, never ending cough also! Had a chest x-ray to rule out walking pneumonia (all clear).

My PCP has run a bunch or bloodwork and ran more Monday. First batch of bloodwork (CBC with differential/platelet), blood and urine cultures, all normal. Haven't gotten new batch back yet.

Starting to wonder if one of my virus issues was Covid and now I have post-viral symptoms. I did take an old test and it was negative but the expiration was 09-23 so prob not accurate. Just been so long!
