Stony Brook has more resources for stem and Bing has more of a humanities focus. Stony Brook is easier to get to DC or NYC but that also means more of life happens off campus than at Bing. Both are mostly new Yorkers. Definitely worth visiting because the vibe is different than the DMV and they are different from each other too.
