Why do "influencers" move right?

It is a tragic commentary of our time that somewhat intelligent people are actually influenced by these morons. What happened to original thought and actually doing one's own research to form an opinion.

Some organization recruits them by starting low-key conversation through social media. I was starting to be recruited this way, without realizing it, but I was too low level, and the recruiting stopped. I just got very low-key messages from someone vaguely tied to Zero Hedge.

Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha are more conservative than their predecessors. This is where all the advertisers target their money.

Money! Saw interview with left leaning influencer. Said in 2024 Dems offered her $1,000 for a post. R’s offered $34,000. She declined because her values but these influencers need to pay rent.

MAGA has unlimited money and Dems don’t value social media. They still think campaigns are about TV ads!

It’s not just lack of introspection, it’s complete ignorance about what they’re talking about. Joe Rogan supported Bernie and has been offering full throated rebukes of ICE abuses and is 1,000% against the War in Iran and the Gaza Genocide.

I guess OP thinks he is right wing because he’s come out against trans people in women’s sports? Well so have Rahm Emanuel and Gavin Newsom. Is Obama’s Chief of Staff right wing? Well yes, but only in left wing looney tunes land.
