IU Kelley

We attended the DA day as well and were impressed. I found the student presenters particularly well spoken and engaging.

From NoVa and DS will be attending in the Fall. I am a UVA alum but the fact it did not have direct admit to McIntire took it out of the running. DS was not interested in majoring in Econ or anything outside of business.

DC is not really interested in visiting Kelley since UVA is ranked higher. I am worried about UVA not being a direct admit into McIntire and think DC should visit Kelley!

I think that is a mistake, a direct admit to Kelly Finance is a really, really good option, with great outcomes. Plus the football team! So much fun!

UVA is also a really great option, McIntire or not.

Congrats on the acceptances! Having Kelley direct admit and doing business classes immediately is a huge advantage compared to UVA because they have material to talk about for sophomore internships (yes, they can get 2 summers not just 1). Highly recommend IU as an alum.

We visited all these and she just fell in love with IU. Beautiful campus, great college town, friendly people, and Kelley is impressive and highly ranked. The professors are super helpful, alumni network is vast, and the job placement rate is great. Yes, tuition would be less at UMD, but she felt at home at IU. That's why she's heading there in the fall.

Go to IU. UMD cannot compare. It’s also ugly with little to do on campus.

Well said! And umd is facing financial issues at the moment. IU is way more lively.

+1. The public schools in the state of Maryland are not good A shame when comparing to Virginia, which has so many diverse and excellent public institutions.

We attended and came away ready to commit. My DC said would likely pick it over UNC (in state) bc Kenan Flagler is such a gamble and for the opportunity to mix with people from all over the world versus NC.

I'm from the DMV area whose kid is going to IU. The public schools in the state of Maryland are not good? You're hilarious and clearly have an axe to grind.

There’s a gigantic difference between UMD Smith and IU Kelley, be it the buildings, the caliber and attention of the staff, the bread and butter learning, the career placement, the overall experience, etc. UMD is overrated to be quite honest.
