Daily dinnerware

Same!

Corelle because they are lightweight and fit so efficiently in the drawer and dishwasher. We often host large groups of kids/families for dinner and I don’t like to use disposable plates or cutlery. We have hosted groups of 50 with Corelle, and everything fit in two dishwashers. I have a set of jono pandolfi that is nice, but so heavy and cumbersome. I like being able to grab a stack of 10 plates with one hand, especially when unloading the dishwasher. My wrists are happier with Corelle.

i have tin can alley from Lenox - love it - good basic white, goes in dishwasher, does not chip.

Corelle - my mom has the same set from 1970 and we've never broken one piece. It's used daily and at all family functions.

I had to check the date to make sure I didn’t write this. We also have a set of Denny about that long that I love. Ours is Imperial Blue.

That said, I do have 6 Corelle “lunch plates” which are about the size of the Denby salad plates, and we use them daily too. They are very handy for the kids.

Us too. Working on 28 years.

Another vote for this. We had the blue stripe earlier and then switched to the white only. May be my imagination or just the lack of color, but the white seems to wear much better. Still looks new years later.

I have Corelle and crate and barrel porcelain. The crate and barrel look great but they chip. Corelle is baby proof. It is the most practical dinnerware around.

This. Someone recommended here years ago and I bought a set and LOVE it. If that was you, thank you!

I have plain white corelle set, use it daily. Ended up getting 30 plate settings (stack so thin) so also use it for more casual get togethers when I don't want to use disposable.

Another +1. We've had ours about 15 years. They've been dropped, banged around the dishwasher, packed and moved, and generally abused by two boys from ES to teenage years.

In theory I love the fact that it's an enduring line, so it'll be easy to replace individual pieces when one breaks ... but the only time we've broken anything was when a bowl was dropped off our deck and fell 12 feet to a stone patio. I guess it was nice to be able to replace that bowl.

Ha!We have Chili and Fire. Love them. Never used plastic kid plates. We lived in an apt and didn’t have space. They cost a bunch up front (thank you wedding attendees!) but we still love them.

Fistaware. It's heavy though. I have a mix of colors--sometimes I'll pick up a random bowl. It's funny how my kids prefer certain colors--they won't take the red dishes unless that's all that's left. I think yellow plates are unappetizing.

This is key.

I have a set of dinnerware that is gorgeous that I absolutely hate -- because it is very heavy.

Interesting. Studies have shown that food is most appetizing presented on a red plate.
