Thank you! This is the OP. It wouldnt work for me either.

I stopped buying t shirts for daily WFH wear and started buying relaxed-fitting short sleeve cotton or cotton/linen blend tops and some button ups. I make sure they have curve or a hint of a curve at the waist, so I don’t feel like I’m wearing a tent!

Super long torso and big boobs (Not perky anymore! In my mid 50s). I most often buy Tall sizes in tops. The last couple of years I had decent luck with typical brands like Gap, Banana Republic. Long Tall Sally often has cute options.

This needs to be much much longer.

Look at brands like Rails and Splendid...they have cute tops that are not tee shirts made of rayon....they're so soft and comfortable yet look more put together than a tee shirt.

I mean, it seems like you are dismissing every suggestion instead of trying anything, so enjoy your tee shirts for every occasion I guess.

PS - Also, I am an inverted-triangle shape, so I have to try to minimize my top, and try to wear darker colors (although sometimes all white/cream or other monochrome).

I like more textured things, in that they are more forgiving (say that a T shirt... which is what started all this) but I can't do really textured fabrics given my body shape.

For this reason (broad shoulders), puffy sleeves and other voluminous tops just don't work.

I also don't find button downs comfortable (in addition to the gaping issue).

6 feet; size 14 usually.

Ha! You posted this exact reply somewhere else on a post that had nothing to do with clothes and it derailed an entire conversation because people were replying to you as if you were writing metaphorically

These are excellent suggestions for OP. I am smaller chested but am still going to try some of these. Thank you from an NP.

Why are you trying to get away from t-shirts - to look dressier, or something else? If it's only about your boobs then you may just need different tees.

I'm a size 14, big chest, long torso and I wear the cotton Lands End v-neck tees in size large-tall. They don't cling or emphasize my chest.

I’ve found this to be a great substitute for a t shirt

Look at Reiss or Boden for knits. they have some nice lightweight structured knits that work well for me. I just got this one, although in a different color:

But this one is also nice.
