I’m the OP. Whether or not I’m “racist” is debatable. I do, however, have first hand experience with racial segregation and white flight in both DC and MD, and I do understand at least part of Hogan’s appeal, and who he’s appealing to. Since I doubt that your experiences mirror mine, PP, our opinions about Hogan, racism in MD, and whether or not my opinions are “racist” are likely to differ quite a bit.

Do you have any thoughts about Hogan’s comments about the police “ignoring” laws? — That’s what I hoped would be the focus of discussion here. It should be unusual to have a former governor— and possible future politician— not so subtly encouraging police officers to “ignore “ the law, No?
