Most and least snobby/elitist privates around here?

Holton is definitely very snobby. It feels like an extension of a country club. It was awful.

Holton troll is back

That’s snobby, not elitist. For elitist, just use the tuition as shorthand. The more expensive, the more elitist.

+1. The newly minted over $60k club:

Bullis: $61,345
Holton: $60,535
McLean School (?): $61,750
Sidwell, NCS, St. Albans, Madeira: have not announced, but likely to follow suit.

This has not been our experience. Yes, there are some flashy people, but the vast majority are normal, very nice well to-do people.

Like I don’t know Sandy Springs Friend School but I have to imagine it ranks highly on the down to earth scale.

Which school has the least VIPS? TV anchors, famous politicians, famous columnists, famous top doctors, and owners of prime businesses?

I disagree. Field is one of the most expensive and least elitist.

Among the more expensive but staying under $60K for another year! And I agree, not a snobby community. But I accept that it’s all relative.

I think in general the least elitist are Catholic schools or K-8th schools. When people are picking a school for their 5 year old to say they graduated from there 12 years from now, they are thinking about the social status.

McLean School is for students with learning differences. It’s not elitist, it’s just specialized.

Madeira has never given me the impression of being elitist either.

Madeira has an equestrian center.

The k-8s are less snobby.

NCS depends on the grade. Last year's senior class had very little flashy money. This year's class has quite a bit more extreme money and flash.

STA is a wealthier school but my older kid found his way there and we are not rich or fancy. The boys totally accepted him and he graduated with a half dozen life-long friends.
