Entrance Sign to McLean HS Disappeared

I hope this school gets a new sign rapidly, OP.

Agreed. It’s needed at that location.

The best and richest school in the area is very m is always abused and mistreated by fcps. This school and langley basically fund all of fcps with real estate taxes. Sad

People all over the county pay taxes, and those taxes will only increase with the rising real estate assessments.

A sign letting people know where they need to turn off Westmoreland to turn to get to MHS isn’t a big expenditure. They need to replace the one they removed.

This is the weirdest post. Of all the things to worry about in this world...

(FTR we live practically across the street and have two kids who attend MHS, but I mean, I can't think of something that I care less about).

McLean HS is not visible from any major or semi major road.

Yes, we know. You think people drive in the general vicinity looking for a sign? The vast majority of people use GPS. You don't need a sign when you arrive when a huge school is in front of you.

Some GPS programs like Waze do not display the unnamed access road off Westmoreland, even though it’s one of the main access routes to the school. That’s one reason why the big sign was helpful.

And the school is not visible from Westmoreland, as several have pointed out.

For fun, I used Waze to get myself to MHS via Westmoreland today. It found the street and the school without issue.

If you live across the street then of course you know where the school is. It’s others who would benefit from clear signage.

Seriously. And if I did care, I’d simply pick up the phone and call the school - not crowdsource this silliness here.
