Because with compounded I get a vial for $300-$400 that I can use for months and months and customize my dose weekly as needed.

Go ahead and tell me this is is using the medication differently than intended or that it's dangerous. I'm comfortable with the "risk."

This is why health insurance is such a problem. Idiots like you are comfortable with the “risk” but when you get sick, someone other than you pays for it.

I'm in week 7, still increasing my dose, but I wouldn't say the food noise has decreased as much as I'd hoped and I've only lost about 5 lbs. And I still have a day each week that I feel like shit from side effects. Not sure if I'll continue because the weight loss is not making up for the side effects.

If you do decide to give up on the semaglutide, I recommend trying tirzepatide before giving up on GLP1s all together.

Oh thanks for the suggestion. Do you have a provider you like who prescribes tirzepatide? I'm not as much disappointed about the weight loss, but the food noise just really hasn't changed much and the side effects are horrible.

My prescriber is a NP who is local to me so I don't have a recommendation for you unfortunately. I've just read so often that the side effects on tirzepatide are less for a lot of people, so I feel like it's worth trying before just writing off GLP1s. And for me on tirzepatide, the food noise was radically changed within an hour of the first injection. I think anecdotally that just shows how everyone reacts so differently to these meds and it's worth experimenting some when things aren't working well for you with the first trial.

Agree with this. I only saw minimal progress with compounded semaglutide after a few months. I switched to tirz and while the side effects for the first two weeks were very unpleasant, I adjusted and the weight is melting off.

I’ve been with Mochi and always get brand Zepbound.
