I know in- state excellent students who were rejected or offered a program where they do first year elsewhere then auto admit as transfers. UT has gotten very hard to get into even in-state.

Did you add that your DS was high stat and great ECs assuming the other “DS rejected” must have been low stats and horrible ECs? Sometimes DC parents are so annoying and self-absorbed.

In OOS for art history 1500+ and 4.0. Lots of ECs and awards, but I think what cinched it was a not popular major and a bunch of stuff connected to that major—summer AH programs, working at museums, internship working with artifacts, research paper.

We’re in state at a competitive private school. This is the path for admittance.
