The parents were upstanding GDS parents who were very involved in the school and helping it. This is all believable and many 9th grade parents know who they are and the thumbnail of what had happened.

From a legal standpoint, aren't the school administration hands' tied as far as protecting the identities of the alleged perpetrators if there’s no other evidence besides the claim of the victim? Wouldn't that explain why they didn't say anything? The family itself said the detective said they don't have enough evidence for an arrest. Just playing devil's advocate.

AS a GDS parent I am very concerned. My understanding there were similar incidents that have repeatedly happened in the same location.

GDS parent here. They can inform the police and other government agencies which is what the parents’ are asking for.

Based on what I have read in this thread, the allegation being discussed originated in an anonymous email. Somewhat confusingly, some posters appear to know the family involved. This raises two questions: 1) are the allegations even real, and; 2) does the family want the allegations publicized?

Given this uncertainty, I think it is best to lock the thread.
