Distressing Incident at GDS

I assume all or most GDS parent got the email from the former GDS family in the last hour. as a GDS parent, I'm very very concerned. I will not repeat the allegations here but needless to say, one of the most distressing things I've ever read.

I feel horrible for the kid and the family and that GDS handled such a dangerous situation so badly. Shame on GDS

ridiculous vague post. OP, if you want it to stay within GDS "community" throwing this juicy tidbit onto DCUM... is not the way to do it.

So the family emailed every family in the school? Using emails from the directory?

No idea - most parents I know got it. the email was from an anonymous account but was written with significant (sad) details, a call to action for families who might know anything to call the DC Detectives. Very credible.

AS a GDS parent I am very concerned. My understanding there were similar incidents that have repeatedly happened in the same location.

It was tough to read, but I don't blindly believe any anonymous email I get.
I'll certainly look forward to hearing a response from the school.
