Important poll: last minute weekend trip - Savannah or Key West?

If you go to Key West, I highly recommend these restaurants (1) Red Shoe Island Bistro, (2) Cafe Marquesa, (3) Little Pearl, and (4) Lola's Bistro.

Would not spend time on Dry Tortugas if all you have is weekend---it takes too long (unless you helicopter). Love the Hemingway House, the Butterfly Museum and just going to all the quirky bars and restaurants. Rent bikes and get cuban sandwiches at Ana's and go across to the Thirsty Rooster (I think that's the name) to eat them with drinks. I love Savannah too ---especially all the artiness from SCAD and the multitude of public square parks.

We are to Key West going soon. What high end restaurants did you like?

There is an island with a restaurant called Latitudes which is really good. They have a water taxi there or you can stay on the island.

Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Company. You’re welcome.

Weather forecast, flight availability, and hotels would be the determining factors.

All things relatively equal, if you've never been to Key West, my vote would be Key West with a trip to the Dry Tortugas.

OP will never get a reservation for Dry Tortugas this late in a holiday weekend. Still I also vote for Key West. I just love it there.

Key West hands down. Get an Airbnb in town. Such a laid back place and food scene is good too. Drive to other keys or just do a boat to see coral reefs.

Savannah will rain so don't go there.

We were just in Key West and really enjoyed it. Rent bicycles and just tool around the town. Duval Street has some pretty cheesy bars and lots of tourist shops, but I found the surrounding streets nice.

That will take up the entire one day they are there.
