Feel like I have an ulcer after having the colonoscopy?

I would talk to PCP again and see if they can order an ultrasound. They can see if there is an ulcer and treat it properly.

They said an ulcer can't be seen on ultrasound. I had one to rule out something else and they said they can't see intestines.

if you are really worried, go to an ER and tell them you have abdominal pain. They will do a CT scan and you'll learn what the problem is. But you wont be high priority, so you may end up there for 12ish hours.

And you’ll be getting a crap load of radiation for possibly no reason. Abdominal CT is worst CT of all to get.

I don't know if you're confused or I am. The stomach and intestines are not the same thing.

This is not an urgent issue. Why would you go to the ER and take up resources when her doctor can order the CT if that's what they think is necessary?

Your stomach is higher up than you may think it is.

Dr Google says you need an upper endoscopy to diagnosed a stomach ulcer. Make an appointment with your PCP.

I had the exact same thing after my colonoscopy. Mine felt like an ulcer and horrible indigestion. My PCP said it’s most likely due to the prep. Think about it - your stomach is empty and then pouring this laxative and drinking liquids you’ve probably never had before. My symptoms went away after a couple week.

DP, can you please explain why abdominal CT is the worst?

Take Pepcid daily for a week and see what happens. Sometimes I have to take it AND a PPI drug.

I think it’s anxiety…
