My DS was admitted to O’Connell and Gonzaga and chose Gonzaga and I don’t have any affiliation with O’Connell. But, I think it’s really unfair and inaccurate to call it a dumpster fire. DS has multiple friends there and they love it. Some are high achieving, really smart kids who are thriving in honors classes. It accommodates a wide range of learners, which I think is a good thing. Bright kids can be challenged in honors classes but it also allows kids from Catholic k-8s who won’t get into some of the more competitive high schools to continue at a Catholic school for HS. |
I agree. O’Connell educates a wide range of students and many kids can get a quality education for a reasonable price. It literally is fulfilling the Catholic church’s mission to educating the community kids. |
It depends where you live. They finished working on the express lane near the American Legion Bridge so if you are in the McLean area it’s as bad going to Montgomery County and Upper NW. |
