First colonoscopy on Thursday

Lemon Italian ice.

The prep wasn't that bad, except you have to stay pretty close to the toilet. When we think of loose stools, we think diarrhea, which is unpleasant, often accompanied by stomach cramps, gas, etc. This is like you're peeing out your butt. After a while, it's going to be completely clear, so doesn't even smell bad.

I am due for my second next year. Not really dreading it at all.

Detoxed and got cleaned out, then took an amazing propofol nap, then had some delicious juice and a meal.

Me too!!!

I just had my first one and it was nbd. Chill the prep and drink it through a straw. Follow their instructions on timing and so will be fine!

What's the right appointment time? Don't leave us hanging!

DP. I heard that they find x% more in the morning than afternoon. I have no idea if this is true, but my DH did morning, and I am scheduled in 2 weeks and asked for AM appt.

I sucked on a lemon between swallows of the prep...and used a straw. I really had trouble getting down but I did. I had and afternoon appointment. I could eat till 10 the day before. That kept me full at work the day before. Jello and broth for dinner.

Find more cancer in the morning?

Well wow, I thought it would be down to the ideal pooping schedule.

I prefer the AM because I want to wake up and go to the appt. There are various kinds of prep from prescription liquids to prescription pills to OTC pills depends on your doctor’s preference). All have the same result—diarrhea! It’s not painful, you just want to be in your own home. I am sure the doctor’s office gave you some limited food choices that you can eat while you are prepping. Follow all instructions. It’s not bad—this isn’t child birth! Hoping you receive a good report!

I went to a surgicenter and was expecting to have a locker to store my stuff. Instead they gave me a plastic bag to put everything in and stowed it on the gurney. Some people had brought duffle bags and that’s what I would recommend. Also, if you wear glasses, bring the case to store them.

I was able to wear socks and bra during procedure so that was nice. Best wishes OP.

Next time I’m going first thing in the morning so there’s less fasting while awake. What’s the right time?

Following this. Have my first one later this month.

Same. And it was EASY, even the prep. I downed the six ounces without issue. Either the prep has gotten better or people have been making too big of deal out of this.

I had mine at noon.

First prep at 4:30pm the day prior. Cleaned out and went to bed at 10pm. I did not wake up at all during the night.

6am took the second prep, had a few more clean outs. Stopped drinking water at 9am (had just a little that morning).

The only difficulty was producing a urine sample, but luckily they used the few drops I could squeeze out, and that was enough.

You had to give a urine sample after you arrived but before the procedure? I didn’t have to do this. Have others?
